COMMISSON: Pro-Crastinator

Hey everyone! Good to be back–I have a feeling my rough patch is almost over.

Down to business. Well, my good friend Pro-Crastinator asked me to draw him up this piece a few months ago. As you might guess from my erratic posting schedule, I quickly became very busy with track and field, homework, etc. Ironically enough, I was the one who procrastinated this commission, despite my customer’s fitting title… yet here I am, posting about it this very moment, wondering to myself, “How did I end up getting this done?”.

Though I took my sweet time completing this thing, I love the way it came out. Thanks to my friend’s plethora of source material, I knew exactly what to draw and really tried to flesh out the character and the world he had in mind. This is an example of a larger, desktop wallpaper-sized commission ($25-$50); though these pieces take more time and are a bit pricier, I assure you that they’re worth every penny. And I have a lot more fun drawing them!

Now that I’ve got this done, I can finally get to working on the next comic–no rest for the teenage internet cartoonist, I suppose. In the meantime, be sure to check out Pro-Crastinator’s own work on DeviantArt and SoundCloud!

COMMISSIONed to Serve

Surprise! Just a quick post today to show off a few commissions I’ve accumulated over the past few months. These drawings, in particular, were drawn for my parents for their own personal use. Now y’all know why the comics have been monthly rather than weekly (as I’d hoped)–commissions are quite time-consuming!

On with the description. Well, this compilation of battle-hardened items includes a worn sword, jade shield, gold plates (an ancient set of scriptures, comparable to the Bible) and a pair of all-too-familiar running shoes (for me, at least). In any other context, this pile of equipment might seem unusual… but here at Dustlander Productions, the items are collectively considered to be a valuable arsenal.

The sword, though dulled through years of use, can be tempered and sharpened indefinitely–its purpose and power rivaling that of the Blade of Evil’s Bane. The shield is simply impenetrable and never allows the adversary even a single chance to strike. The scriptures provide a warrior with the innate courage and strength he already possesses. And the shoes–well, let’s just say this warrior runs a fast mile.

I suppose I’m just rambling at this point, but I hope I shared a bit of inspiration with all of you fine folks. Who knows? Maybe this post will motivate you through the rest of your finals. No guarantees, though.
